This notice explains how EngX ("we") processes personal information collected through this website, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect, and why

• Business enquiries — name, company, work email, area of interest, and your message. Purpose: to respond to your enquiry. A partner replies within one business day.
• Network applications — name, experience, email, LinkedIn profile, engagement preference, and your message. Purpose: to assess your application to the EngX specialist network.
• Squad requests — your work email and the team configuration you build. Purpose: to review and respond to your request.
• Insights subscriptions — your email address. Purpose: to notify you when we publish. We use double opt-in: no emails are sent until you confirm from your inbox, and every notification carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

Each form requires your explicit consent before submission. We collect nothing you do not type into a form: the site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising or analytics scripts.

Where your information lives

• Submissions and subscriptions are stored in Microsoft Azure in the South Africa North region (Johannesburg).
• Emails to and from us are processed by Azure Communication Services with its data location set to the Africa geography.
• Operational telemetry (error and performance monitoring) is processed in a Microsoft Azure region in the United States. It is configured to exclude form contents and tokens, and IP addresses are masked.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are retained for 12 months from receipt, then deleted, unless the enquiry has become an active engagement (in which case it moves into our engagement records). Subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe; unsubscribed records are kept only as a suppression marker.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. Microsoft Azure processes it on our behalf as our infrastructure provider under its data-protection terms.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. Email info@engx.co.za and we will action your request against our records.
